Significant Coverage Gap: Upstate vs. NYC

NYC has 13.8 AEDs per 10K residents (40.42/sq mi) while upstate counties average just 3.7 per 10K (0.06/sq mi). Governor Hochul's 2026 State of the State proposes the first statewide AED registry to close this gap. Currently, 43 of 62 counties have zero CPR training kiosks.
